I'm so happy in the morning!

I certainly don't get it from either of my parents, but I'm usually very cheery first thing in the morning. Take a look!

More morning smiles

You all better hope I reach another milestone sometime soon, because Mom's gonna keep putting up pictures of me smiling until I do something else interesting!

Mommy & Me?

Mom wanted to get a picture of the two of us together. I don't think she realized how hard that would be...

I moved:

She closed her eyes:

And then I became fascinated by something on my right.

Oh well. Someday we'll get one. (This is right after Mom got her hair cut--4+ inches taken off! Now I can't grab at it anymore...)

Fun in the snow

We got MORE snow the other day--what a winter! So my parents took me and Kody over to the park across the street, to give me some fresh air and to give him a chance to run around on the tennis courts.

At first I wasn't so sure I liked this idea too much. Can you see the look on my face? It's one I get from my Dad...

But then I watched Dad and Kody having all kinds of fun and decided it was OK...

And went straight to sleep. Love that fresh air!

More smiles!

I'm just a smiling fiend these days! Here are some more shots. In case you're wondering why they all have the same background, it's because I absolutely love being changed and hanging out on my changing table (crazy, I know!), and that's where all the best smiles happen!

Eating can be exhausting.

I'm a pretty good eater these days, but sometimes it's just so exhausting that I need to take a break in the middle...

Undersea Adventures

Every day I spend a little time visiting my friends in the ocean, first on my back, looking at the fish and the turtle and the octopus...

and then on my tummy strengthening my neck muscles. I'm getting much better at it and I don't even cry right away anymore!

My 6-week visit with the Doctor

I had an appointment with the doctor on Wednesday. They weighed me (13 pounds) and measured me and made sure everything works. And then they gave me a shot, which I didn't really like at all. But I did have some fun squirming around making noise on the funny paper table!

Here's Dr. Cass checking me out. I like her!

(Again, ignore the dates on the pictures. This was 1/21/09.)

More smiles

I'm smiling a lot these days. Here are two more shots--it's still pretty hard to capture the moment!

I witnessed history!

Well, OK, I slept through it. But I was there, and someday I'll be really proud that I was alive to see this momentous occasion!

Here's the President-Elect watching the proceedings:

And here he is taking his oath:

And here he is as President Obama, delivering his inauguration address. Hurray!

PS: The date on the camera got messed up. It really was 1/20/09, not 1/1/06!

Another cute outfit

My mom and dad found this cute Polo onesie on super sale and, since I'm such a fashion baby, they had to get it for me. The funny thing is that it's a "6 month" size. It did shrink in the wash a little, but I guess their kids' clothes run as small as their grownup clothes!

In this picture you can see how tall I've grown--24-1/8" according to the doctor!

Puppies on my feet!

My uncle Adam gave me this really cute outfit for Christmas. See the puppy dogs on my feet? Unfortunately it shrank a lot in the wash and I'm almost too big for it already, so I'll wear it as much as I can in the next couple weeks. Thank you, uncle Adam!

My Snow Suit

With all the snow and ice and chilly weather, my parents decided I needed a warm snow suit for my excursions outside. They found this very cute one at Old Navy, on sale for $4.00!, so even though it's size 3 months and obviously won't fit for more than a couple hours longer, they got it anyway. Don't I look cute and snuggly?

I can smile!

I've been smiling at mom and dad for a few days now. It's pretty hard to capture on camera though, so here are two shots of me smiling in my sleep so at least you can see how cute I look when I do it.

And then--ta da!--here's one where I'm awake and giving daddy a big toothless grin. He got a little close with the camera and the flash sort of washed me out, but you get the idea.

My First Wrestling Match

My cousin Chris had a wrestling match the other night, and we all went to see him. Guess what? He won! I enjoyed sitting on Daddy's lap and watching all the action.

And then, amazingly, I slept through a large portion of it, even with all the cheering and whistles and buzzers and everything.

After that we all went out to dinner--my first dinner out in a restaurant! My parents were too nervous the whole time, though, to take any pictures.... ;-)

Shapes to See

My mom read that it's important to stimulate my eyes and my brain, so she printed out some black and white images for me to look at while I'm getting my diaper changed. My dad had a different idea about what images I should be looking at...:

A Vision in Blue

My mom thought I looked so cute in this beautiful sweater that she made me pose for this picture. Someday, when my eyes turn blue, it'll bring them out nicely!
