It's not my best work...

but so far it's the only evidence captured on film of me walking. I'm capable of much more than this, but Mom just isn't quick enough with the camera!

Today's post has been brought to you by:

the number four:

and the number 5:

Let's see, any other numbers?

Nope, that's it!

I've got something cooking ...

in my cool new Play Zone! I can't tell you what it is, but it involves a mixing bowl,

a spatula,

and a pasta server.

CURIOUS?!?

My friend Julia

She was back in town for a little bit, and I got to see them at the Mom's Group lunch.

Then we had our very own playdate, just the two of us!

Of course Julia's mom, Anna, was there, too ...

and so was my mom!

They're off now to San Francisco for a couple months. I wonder how big we'll both be when they get back?!

I've said it before but I'll say it again:

ESAR, post 1: The Ride Begins!

Mom and Dad and I participated in the Empire State AIDS Ride last week (www.empirestateaidsride.org). This is the 7th year of the Ride, the 6th year Mom's been involved, and the 4th year for Dad. It was my 1st!

We had a long drive up to Niagara Falls and had to stop many times. Here we are getting breakfast.

Finally we made it. This is us much later that evening, at dinner. I was so happy to be out of the car that I stuck my whole hand in Dad's mouth!

ESAR, here we come!

ESAR, post 2: the night before

Keeping with tradition, the entire ARIders team went out to dinner at Fortuna's the night before the Ride began.

Of course I ate dinner , too!

When I started to get a little cranky, Dad just shuffled me along from table to table. Here I am with Leggs and Oley and Pheebs.

And then I moved on to Jiggy's and Sparky's table. They gave me a spoon!!

Then over I went to Frannie's table. She read me a book.

And then it was off to see Mark and Tony and Ian. I was pretty worn out by this time ...

so I finally made my way back to Mom and we went back to the hotel and went to bed.

ESAR, post 3: Niagara Falls

OK, so it was early and I was tired and I slept through it. But I went to Niagara Falls for the first time!

ESAR, post 4: friends

I made lots of friends on the ride.

Here's me and Marty, the Ride Director Extraordinaire.

And me with Tobie (aka Leggs), one of my favorite new friends ...

and me with Frannie, who took such good care of me at the rest stops...

and me with Uncle Sparky, who carried me around so Mom and Dad could eat dinner many nights.

What a lucky boy I am to have so many wonderful friends!

ESAR, post 5: at play

It was a hot week! I spent a lot of time hanging out in my diaper, playing in the shade.

Here's me on Red Day, having breakfast at the morning rest stop.

Here's Mom carrying me in our cool new backpack--complete with rain and sun shields! It was a life-saver.

And here's a close-up of me, happy in the backpack.

ESAR, post 6: various forms of sleep

On a week-long camping trip, it's important to be able to fall asleep in any situation.

Here's me and Mom on the air mattress during one of our real camping nights.

And here's me in my backpack. There were some early morningse--too early for me!--and I sometimes fell sound asleep while Mom had breakfast with me on her back.

Really, it might not look it, but I was very comfortable!

The last night we got to sleep in real beds! (Well, I was in my Pack-n-Play until the 4th time I woke up, when Mom brought me into her bunk bed with her.)

When I realized she'd left the bed, I spread out to make good use of the space!
