A play date!

Julia (and her mom Anna) are finally back from England. So Mom and I and Madeleine (and her mom Kara) went over for a play date!

Here's Julia, looking all grown up and sophisticated and beautiful from her time abroad.

And here's Madeleine, just as cute as always. (Don't be alarmed! That's not her foot up by her ear, it's mine!)

Learning to share

Julia and Madeleine were pretty curious about this toy I was playing with.

So I brought it over so we could all enjoy it.

See, all playing nicely together...

Until I decided I wanted it back!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

We had such fun hanging out on the floor together! Julia and Madeleine were playing, while I was busy behind them. (Like the shark on my butt?)

When I realized I was missing out on the fun, though, I said, "HEY! What about me??"

And then I got in on the action, too!

What are these things?

I've never really seen stairs before, but you wouldn't know it. Julia's house has some, and I crawled right over and climbed up three of them, all by myself!

All grown up?!

This isn't a good (or happy) picture of me, but Mom wanted to post it anyway because she thinks I look so grown up, with my haircut and my khaki shorts, and my sandals.

(She keeps saying I look like such a little boy. I don't get it; I am a little boy, aren't I??)

My first haircut!

My first official, professional one, anyway.

Mom and Dad have trimmed my sides and back before, but they decided enough was enough and that we needed someone who knew what they were doing to take over.

So off we went to Sharkey's Cuts for Kids. Here's my certificate, and the next three posts show the whole process, almost minute-by-minute!

Before:

As you can see, I was pretty excited about it!

And I cooperated for a perfect "hair in my eyes: BEFORE" picture!

During...

I was very good and stayed very still.

Even when she used the buzzer on me!

Then she used a fun black comb, and I wanted one for myself.

Once I had that, I was happy as a clam, chewing away on it.

(Don't worry, it was clean!)

After!

And here I am with my fabulous haircut!

Brunch with friends

My uncle Jiggy is visiting from Rochester, so we met him and my uncle Sparky for brunch.

Mom and Dad got me some banana to eat while they ate their meals. But I only wanted to hang out on Dad's lap.

And then we sat on the lawn and played together.

Such fun!

For my fans keeping score at home:

Foods I like:
Avocado
Banana
Rice cereal (sometimes)

Foods I don't like:
Sweet potato
Peas
Apple
Mango
Rice cereal (sometimes)

Can man live on avocado and banana alone?

Hi there!

I'm getting very good at standing up. See??

Another father/son comparison

Here's a picture of my Dad as a baby with this great round colorful pillow.

And here's a picture of me with the same pillow!

A strong resemblance?

Pretty much everyone says that I look just like Daddy. What do you think??

What I'm learning when I go to work with Dad

Hmm, this looks like a good vintage.

Let me just check it out here ... you know, you're supposed to sniff the cork.

Yep, this is a keeper!
