Apres pool

As fun as it was, swimming was exhausting! A couple times I fell asleep right in Mom's arms, still in the pool! But then we'd get out, and Mom and Dad would dry me off and wrap me up and keep me nice and warm while I rested from my exertion. This is the life!

I WENT SWIMMING!

Definitely the coolest part about the whole trip was that I went swimming for the first time. I love my bath, and as you might guess, I loved the pool too. I went swimming almost every day we were there. What a great time!

More fun outside

Another great thing about being in the warm weather was that we could do all the same things we do at home, but do them outside! Mom and I spent a lot of time reading my favorite books out on the lawn. We had so much fun together!

But it tuckered me out. And I had to take a nap...

Tummy time with Dad

Now, you know I'm not a big fan of tummy time (who is?) but I tell you, tummy time on the grass, in the warm weather, with Daddy by my side? It doesn't get any better than that!

When in Florida...

My cousins Resli and Lela handed down this fab gator outfit to me. I figured since I was in Florida I'd better wear it.

It looks good with the shades, don't you think?

Mom and Dad on a date

Since we had both my grandmothers there, my parents took advantage and went out to dinner, just the two of them, for the first time since I was born. I'm sure they missed me tons, but they were pretty excited!

And then at the restaurant they realized they'd been gone almost three whole hours, and rushed right home to see how I was doing.

As it turns out, I slept the ENTIRE time and was no trouble at all. I hope they don't think they can do this regularly, though!

My Nana was there!

Another great thing about our trip to Floriday--my Nana came for a few days, too! I had a lot of fun hanging out with her, too:

We had some important conversations...

And I chewed on her finger for a while...

And I slept in her arms a lot. It was great!

My cousin Madeline

One of the most exciting things about going to Florida was that I got to meet my cousin Madeline (and her parents, my aunt Maria and uncle Rob). Here's our first meeting--I was a little shocked by her beauty, as you can see by the expression on my face.

Madeline fell in love with Chris pretty much immediately.

Madeline and I and Maria and my mom had a great time hanging out outside, enjoying the warm weather and the grass and the sun. What a difference from the cold snowy frozenness of home!

We also had fun hanging out at the pool. We're talking to each other here, saying, "What's up with this stuff they make us put on our heads? Why can't we just enjoy the sunshine like they do?!"

Borrowed goods

My cousin Madeline, who's 6 months older than I am, lives in Florida. Luckily, she's outgrown her bouncy seat and was nice enough to let me borrow it while we were there. Yes, it's very pink, but I didn't mind. I had a great time in it!

My first plane ride!

We all went on a vacation to Florida. It was a big excursion and we had a great time. But first we had to get there--it was my first trip on an airplane!

First Daddy showed me the plane and explained how it all worked.

Then we got on the plane, and I fell asleep before we even took off. That's how exciting it was...

But then I woke up, and Dad and I played for a little while.

And then we were there! Mom wrapped me up and we waited for our luggage. All in all, a great trip!

Hello NYC!

The other day my mom went into her office to say hello to everyone before she goes back to work in a couple weeks. It was my first trip into the big city and boy, did I drink in all the sights!

Two Months Old!

I turned two months old on February 6th. I know, I can't believe it either!

It's pretty cool, though, isn't it?

Superbowl Sunday!

It was my first Super Bowl and I was really excited. First, I took a nap to rest up for the big night.

Then I put on my football shirt and my big-boy jeans.

How mean are my parents? They gave me a beer but wouldn't open it for me!

It's OK though, because I got to hang out and watch the game with my Opa Matty, and I was pretty happy about that!
