BLOG MIGRATION!

With the arrival of Emmeline, and Mom's refusal to attempt to maintain two separate blogs, we've created one new blog for the entire Holzhacker-Lord clan. Please visit us at the new Adventures of Atticus & Emmeline:

I'm a big brother!

My little sister arrived Saturday, March 5th at 2:04am - I am now officially a big brother!
Her name is Emmeline Paula Holzhacker and she weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 21 inches long. Isn't she beautiful?
Daddy and I are both very happy to finally meet her.

And I can't seem to get enough of her. I want to hold her and touch her and cuddle with her. (My Mom says I keep saying "touch it?" "hold it?"...)
Welcome to our world, Emmeline!

Big Boy Bed

After I climbed out of my crib several times, Mom and Dad decided it was time for me to get a big boy bed. But first, we had to build it...

Luckily I was there to help Daddy out with the tools and the banging.

"Here you go, Daddy."

This piece goes riiiight here.

Oh, looks like we'll need the drill for this one. I'll get it.

Ta-da! The finished piece!

And here it is all made up, with my special shark sheets on it.

Even Kody thinks it looks pretty comfy.

Goodnight everyone!

Presents from my Aunt Rachel

My aunt Rachel sent me gifts for my birthday and Christmas all the way from Europe.

When I opened the box, I said, "WOWWW!"

Inside was this great toy garage with police cars and a real working siren.

She also sent me this way cool Wild Thing t-shirt.

Thank you Rachel - hooray!

"Tent and Tunnel!!"

My grandpa sent me this tent and tunnel for Christmas. Mom and Dad thought I was overwhelmed by all the presents at the time and so saved it until January. Boy was I excited to see what it was.

We put it up right away, and in I crawled.

Peek-a-boo, here I am! In the tent!

Look, even Mom and Kody came in to join me!

Thanks Grandpa!

More fun at Strong Museum of Play

Now that I'm in daycare all the time, we don't go to the museum as much, but Daddy took me the other day and we had FUN!

I love riding in the Sesame Street cab,

and going down the slide!

"Special treat"

I went through a phase in January where I was sick for weeks, on and off, with a stomache bug. The upside of this misery, though, was that Mom and Dad introduced me to a special treat they call "popsicles."

Oh yum!

New Bike-icle!

My Uncle Adam and Aunt Amy gave me an awesome new bike as a birthday/Christmas gift.

Every morning I come downstairs saying, "New bike-icle?" to make sure it's still here. (Who can blame me for my confusion? Why would you call it a "bike" if the real word is "bicycle"? Really.)

Thank you Uncle Adam and Aunt Amy. I love it!

The best present of all

I think there were gifts and stuff, but the best part for me was this big box that we used for wrapping paper.

I liked it so much I insisted on eating my breakfast in it.

See, my tray fits right on it like it was made for it!

Christmas secrets

I was so excited to see that Santa came during the night, that I climbed right up into the chair and had a quiet chat with him.

I asked him if he liked my hat, but he didn't answer me.

Thanks for coming to our house, Santa!

O Christmas Tree

Daddy got us a beautiful Christmas tree, which we finally put up the weekend before Christmas.

Mommy hates doing the lights, but I think it's fun.

When I woke up on Christmas morning, it was all decorated, too.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
