Getting ready...

I haven't started eating real food yet, but I'm preparing for the big day by sitting in my high chair while Mom and Dad and Chris have dinner, and playing with spoons and cups and plates. What fun!

Multi-Purpose Gadgets

We're not quite sure exactly how he discovered this, but Chris learned that his vibrating phone makes a very engaging toy for me!

Mom and Dad think maybe it feels good on my teething gums...?

Either way, how nice of him to let me play with it sometimes!
And PS: Uncle Adam--like my shirt?! I do!

Lunch time!

On the drive back from Rochester, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for lunch, and I sat in my own high chair like a big boy.

And then ... I came in for my close-up!

Dinner with friends

I also got to spend some time with my Uncle Sparky, who I haven't seen since I was only about a week old! I look grumpy here but that's just because I was getting tired. I loved spending time with Sparky.

Two more firsts

While we were at Erica's, I had my first slide ride:
And then Daddy helped me play my first soccer game:

SWIIIING!

While we were in Rochester we went over to visit Mom and Dad's friend Erica. Her son Brian and her daughter Hana were kind enough to let me play on their swing set. Wow, did I have some fun on the pink baby swing!

Here's a video of me enjoying the ride:

The 6-month series

I turned 6 months old while we were in Rochester. Mom didn't make a sign this month, but we enlisted the whole ARider team to show how old I was. Four times...!

My 1st trip to Rochester

Mom and Dad and I drove up to Rochester last weekend to see our ARider family. It was a LOONG day in the car for me, and as soon as we got there I fell asleep in Uncle Jiggy's arms.

Then Mom put me down in my pack-n-play (with my full posse, of course!) and I proceeded to roll right over on my seahorse. It doesn't look it, but it sure was a comfy nap!

Not without a fight...

My standy-uppy hair is, sadly, starting to lie down more and more. (I guess 6-month-old big boys don't have standy-uppy hair?) But every now and then it comes back with a vengeance and goes wild for a day! Here's a recent pic:

And here it is with some creative backlighting so you can get the full effect. ;-)

My 2nd Tooth

Following hard on the heels of the first, my second tooth came in Friday evening! (We all felt this one; it was a rough few hours leading up to its arrival.) Don't worry, I'll stop doing things now; I was just trying to cram in as much milestone-making as I could before my 6-month birthday today!

It's important to be well coiffed.

Dad tried out a new hairstyle on me last night. What do you think?

In case you were wondering,

yes, I do still like to chill with my posse when I wake up in the morning.

I gather them all around me and we catch up on the previous day's news.

Good times!

My 1st Tooth!

I crawled on Wednesday. On Thursday my first tooth came in!
I know, you can't really see it here...

So mom tried to get a better shot.

Oh, the indignity.

What happens when Mom and Dad leave me alone with Chris:

Hmm, what's this thingamabob?

Oh, OK, I get it ...

Now I'm really cooking!

Yeah, this ain't so hard. What's next?

I can crawl!

OK, I don't yet cover a whole lot of ground, but it IS my first time doing it. And as long as Kody keeps trying to play "fetch" with me, I'll keep getting lots of practice!
